Description:  When Kansas City Southern NW2 4125 was photographed at DERAMUS YARD near Shreveport it was over 35 years old and would remain on the roster for another eight years. It, and its sibling the 4126, had been built in January 1942 as the 1125 and 1126, and were originally lettered Louisiana & Arkansas. They were relettered Kansas City Southern Lines in 1951, renumbered around 1974 and retired in 1985.

Description:  One of KCS' NW2 rebuilds, 4214, brings a transfer through the West Bottoms in 1985. The road had three of their NW2s rebuilt by Mid-America Car in 1982 with this 1250 HP configuration. They only lasted through 1989 on KCS.
