PRR Philadelphia Excursion, #1 of 2, 1949         
Here is the first of two successive original photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken at "Delaware & Washington Avenues" in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 26 June 1949. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9018, a BS-6A built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in April of 1949, rated at 600 horsepower, and retired in May of 1966 after just 17 years of revenue service.
