PRR, Odd Odyssey Of Old #39, #5 of 6, c. 1949         
Here is the fifth of six original successive photos recording the odd odyssey of old #39. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #39, an L-1S (2-8-0) "Mikado" built in Juniata during 1915 and retired in September of 1954 after 39 years of faithful service. Here, it's stopped at a grade crossing along with the hopper and the two passenger cars. The names of the photographer and the people pictured here, plus the date and the location, are not recorded.
